Crush procrastination with these tips

^THREAD^
1/7 Evaluate the benefits

When you need to do work think about this: what could this work I do now compound to in the future?

Usually the answer is far more attractive than burning time on other stuff.
2/7 Don’t overwork yourself

Cutting procrastination does not mean overworking yourself.

Split up the work and make progress on it in intervals until you get it done. The goal of this is to be consistent and to establish effective systems.
3/7 Relax

Evaluating long-term benefits doesn’t mean you have to become a 24/7-working-robot. You need to rest too, or your productivity might even go down.

They key is balance.
4/7 Know what activities to limit

It is important to NOT skip important activities like: spending time with your loved ones or practicing your hobbies.

Limit the activities that you use as an escape to not work and that do not add value to your life.
5/7 Identify activities you should limit

When you have work but feel like not doing it, what do you use as your escape? It might be:

- Social media
- Watching series

They can be good in MODERATION but using them to avoid important stuff is a no go.
6/7 Reduce bad activities

Once identified, limit bad activities by:

• Reducing your access to them (like putting your phone in another room)

• Organizing your workspace (less clutter = easier work)

• Making work attractive (decorate your workspace, make it interesting)
7/7 Procrastination is killing you.

Every second that passes, your time is more valuable because you have less of it.

Don't waste it.

A good tip is to practice talking to yourself on the mirror.
2/9. Smile
