A few pro golfers paid tribute to Tiger Woods on February 28 at the WGC-Workday Championship. Players could be seen in the usual attired donned by Woods when competing in a final round: red shirt, black hat, and black slacks.
The act of solidarity comes as Woods continues to recover from emergency surgery stemming from his February 23 car accident in Los Angeles County. The accident left him with multiple 'open fractures' to his right leg and injuries to the foot and ankle, according to ESPN.
Rory McIlroy, who dressed in the iconic red and black on Sunday during play, reportedly said, ‘I think everyone should just be grateful that he’s here, that he’s alive, that his kids haven’t lost their dad...
... That’s the most important thing. Golf is so far from the equation right now; it’s not even on the map at this point.’
Woods, who saw the tributes, wrote on Twitter: ‘It is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the tv and saw all the red shirts. To every golfer and every fan, you are truly helping me get through this tough time.’

On March 1, civil rights leader Vernon Jordan reportedly died in his home, surrounded by family. He was 85. Jordan first rose to prominence for his work helping to desegregate the University of Georgia in 1961.
From there, Jordan went on to work for a number of civil rights organizations, including a local chapter of the NAACP, the Southern Regional Council, the United Negro College Fund, and, perhaps most notably, as president of the National Urban League from 1971 to 1981.
In 1980, he narrowly avoided an assassination attempt after being shot in the back.
In his later life, Jordan also became a key figure in presidential politics. He was a close adviser to Bill Clinton and a leader of the latter's presidential transition team.
Jonah Hill addressed photographs published by the Daily Mail of him surfing in Malibu, California, by discussing body image and insecurities.
Hill opened up on Instagram about the years he struggled with his appearance, writing in reference to the photos, ‘I don’t think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid-30s even in front of family and friends.’
Hill said his ‘childhood insecurities’ were worsened by the media and living in the public eye, but now, at 37, he can finally ‘love and accept’ himself. H
