the great classification of fairies in winx club: a thread

the various categories of fairies and how they differ from each other is a concept that hasn't been explained in the series. this is my reimagining. there are 5 types of fairies: basic fairies, primal fairies, guardian fairies, nymphs and major fairies.

i will rank them from the weakest to the most powerful. let's begin:

#4 basic fairies: these are the most common type of fairies also known as base level fairies. they are fairies who simply haven't acquire the powers of enchantix yet. this stage has been named the magic winx level as a result of the impact the winx had in the fairy world.

acquiring enchantix is VERY difficult. it isn't a surprise that a lot of fairies go into their adulthood while still at base level fairy form or just with charmix. their powers can keep evolving but they'll never be able to reach their peak without acquiring enchantix.

#3 guardian fairies: this is where things stop being normal. a guardian fairy is a fairy of at least enchantix level who is assigned the duty of protecting an entity. there are three types of guardian fairies: enchantix fairies, bloomix fairies and onyrix fairies.

enchantix fairies are fairies who have reached their peak and serve as guardians of their homeworlds. they have the fairy dust which grants abilities like the power to miniaturize, break dark spells, absorb attacks, heal, remove dark qualities, and cast or enhance spells.

bloomix is a transformation granted to enchantix fairies that have accomplished acts worthy of a true fairy and proven to be dedicated to protecting the dragon flame. it grants the power to summon and control a guardian dragon of domino and travel through space and time.

onyrix is a higher level transformation that is granted to enchantix fairies who have equally acquired dreamix and have proven to be worthy guardians of the world of dreams. it is the most powerful guardian transformation and grants powers like dream manipulation, mind control--

memory manipulation and instant teleportation from any realm to the world of dreams. onyrix fairies reach their peak level of power every full moon and are even more powerful inside of the world of dreams. this transformation is so powerful because it's granted by a primal fairy.

#2 nymphs: nymphs were massively powerful fairies who rule over the magic dimension since the disappearance of the great dragon. they were so powerful that they are even represented and paid hommage at the temple of magix.

we only know about 2 nymphs in the series: daphne and politea. nymphs have powers such as shape shifting, traveling between space and time, absolute control of every element, dream manipulation, telepathy, reality bending, memory manipulation, mind control and ghost physiology.

nymphs are actually argued to be even more powerful than arcadia and the ethereal fairies in the series but not in my rewriting. they're mortal while the ancestral fairies are eternal. they're also all canonically dead. it's complicated. i'm working on fixing this.

#2 major fairies: these are fairies who have reached a supreme level of power so much so that the gap between them and a normal fairy is insanely large. they are basically almost gods at this point. we know about the major fairies of earth: aurora, diana, nebula and sybilla.

major fairies have god-level powers which can scale to a universal range. an example is aurora whose power are so massive that she could freeze the entire universe. diana has absolute control over nature and can even turn nature against enchantix-level nature fairies like flora.

it's possible that each planet has a set of major fairies who are meant to protect them. major fairies are a thousand years old as the major fairies of earth have been protecting earth since ancient times. they can maintain a youthful appearance because they're deities.

major fairies have powers that can affect the condition of an entire world. for example, if diana's secret bud dies, the nature of earth will seize to exist.

the nymphs of magix and the major fairies of earth are argued to have the same level of power. this fact will unfortunately never be verified because they come from two different dimensions and have never interacted with each other. that's why i'm putting them both at #2.

#1 primal/ ancestral fairies: these are the original fairies. the most important, primary and fundamental. the gods of the magic dimension. nigh omnipotent, nigh omnipresent and omniscient. they include arcadia, the ethereal fairies and the spirit of the world of dreams.

primal fairies are gods. they isn't any comparison possible between them and other type of fairies. they are the very first fairies to have existed and are literally immortal beings who can't die in any shape or form. they are simply eternal and will live till the end of times.

arcadia is the very first fairy to have existed and the one that gave birth to fairy magic including the art of transformations. she's one of the elders of magix and the most powerful fairy of the entire universe. she has abilities such as revert magic of the crystal labyrinth--

high level reality bending, control of space and time, shape shifting, memory manipulation, pain inducement, pain relief, telekinesis, telepathy and more. she can also travel in time at any period in history and create planets and solar systems.

the ethereal fairies are magical creatures who are eternal, powerful and pure. they were created by arcadia. they have the power of gifting gifts of destiny, destiny manipulation, prophecy control, telekinesis, teleportation and even created believix.

the spirit of the world dreams is a magical creature from the world of dreams. she was also created by arcadia. she's the embodiment or fairy form of the world of dreams. the world of dreams is a realm that controls the flow of dreams and nightmares in the entire universe.

without the world of dreams, they would basically be no sleep in the magic dimension and chaos would arise from nightmare creatures and monsters. the spirit is massively powerful and created the dreamix and onyrix transformations which she grants to worthy guardians of her realm.
