The yesterday events in the by elections reminds me how Kenyans don't learn. They will still follow & fight blindly
Let me remind you what the old said

In the words of Alphonce Okuku Ndiege at the funeral of J.M. kariuki at kanyamwi farm Gilgil on 16th march 1975.
**Mini thread**
"When Pio Gama Pinto was waylaid and brutally shot dead by the gate of his home in Westlands, Nairobi in February 1965, you dismissed the murder as that of an Indian.....
....when my brother T.J. Mboya was assassinated in July 1969 in a broad daylight in a busy Nairobi street, you declared him too ambitious to live out of his dream....
....when Kung'u Karumba 'disappeared' in 1974, you did not bother to look for him and ascertain what had happened....
....now who is this man lying here inside this coffin plucked from your midst? Isn't he one of your very own, whose life you could have saved by demanding that the gun should not be introduced in Kenyan politics? " --------- as quoted from The Price Of Freedom by Wanyiri Kihoro
See, If Kenyans had joined Indians and some section of Kikuyu and Luo leaders to demand for justice and hold the govt accountable for the death of Pinto, maybe we could have saved the life of Tom Mboya. Maybe J.M Kariuki would be alive today.
If you Kenyans can join hands from Mombasa to Kisumu, Busia to Mandera, Kiambu to Nakuru, etc and condemn the actions of our Mis-leaders yesterday, then we can all hope to save a soul or two come 2022. Unfortunately, we are the same idiots celebrating hooliganism.
Aren't we the ones who have given these Mis-leaders the power they have? Why do you celebrate when one of our own is harassed because of politics? Let me remind you Kenyans, when the fire will be raging and eating anything on its way, you will be alone.
As long as you don't have a dual citizenship, as long as you don't own a diplomatic visa/passport, then stop being stupid and know if kenya burns, you will burn with it, and the leaders you support, will have evacuated their families to safer grounds.
Kenya is ours, we are the ones to ensure there is peace or war. Don't listen to those privileged goons in suits and ties, goons enjoying your hard earned taxes. Goons using cars fueled by you. Don't listen to them. Let's save our country kenya.
Kenya is bigger than UDA, bigger than Jubilee or ODM, bigger than ANC or Ford Kenya. Bigger than Raila Odinga, William Ruto, Uhuru Kenyatta, Musalia Mudavadi ambitions. We can't ruin our lives, just to support the dreams of a man. NEVER.

Scores of Kenyans gave life, limb and liberty to ensure that we attained self-rule and the ability to govern ourselves.

Some of these heroes have been forgotten in the sands of time but we must never let them be forgotten.

Here are a few.

***THREAD***
CMG Argwings-Kodhek (1923-1969)

CMG attended St Mary’s School, Yala, Makerere and Cardiff Univ where he obtained a Law degree and got admitted to the bar (Lincoln's Inn) in 1951.

Offered a third of what whites were getting at the Attorney General's office, CMG declined.
He started his own law firm at Church House and was the only African in Kenya with a law firm.

He made his name defending Mau Mau cases — saving many, including Waruru Kanja, and 48 Lari Massacre accused, from the hangman’s noose.

THE MAU MAU AND THE KENYATTA BETRAYAL.

Like a daredevil holding the tiger by the tail, Jomo Kenyatta lived through revolutions making friends and discarding them at his convenience.

Was Kenyatta the national hero or a villain? Was he a nationalist or an opportunist?
Jomo Kenyatta, the young man who fled Kiambu at the onset of the World War II to avoid conscription, had a sharp mind and exploited the earliest opportunity that came his way and he had a knack for spotting trouble.
Kenyatta’s name evokes different memories in different people with some dismissing him as a sellout, who used his comrades-in-arms as ladder to climb to power and later kicked them aside.

OF THE KAPENGURIA SIX, THE KENYATTA PLOTTED ASSASSINATION THAT FAILED AND LIFE AFTER KAPENGURIA.

The life of the six men after arrest, during their time in prison & detention, the new comer who almost killed Jomo Kenyatta and life after they were released.

***THREAD***.
By the year 2000,only 3 of the Kapenguria 6 were alive.Apart from Achieng' Oneko,Paul Ngei & Bildad Kaggia who by then were wallowing in poverty, their former comrades in arms Jomo Kenyatta & Fred Kubai had died while Kung'u Karumba "disappeared" during a business trip 2 Uganda.
Kaggia by that year was seriously sick at his Kandara home in Murang'a while Ngei depended on well-wishers to provide him with shelter after auctioneers evicted him from his city home.

Have you ever wondered why the sons and daughters of the colonial chiefs and guards who were collaborators live a good life while those of the MAU MAU fighters live in abject poverty?

***THREAD***
It should be known that the colonialists reached a point that they knew they had 2 leave Kenya since they couldn't handle the Mau Mau war & the world was moving toward accepting independent Africa. However, the colonialists devised an evil scheme that still eats Kenya upto this day
Under this scheme, the colonial state came up with a plan that saw the first crop of chiefly “big men” being empowered financially to take their children to schools and eventually have those children go to England for further studies...

POLITICS OF BETRAYAL IN KENYA

The fallout between Kenyatta and Odinga & the subsequent assassination of Mboya, extinguished the dream of the anti-colonial movement for independent Kenya & laid the foundation for betrayal that still stalks Kenyan politics to date.

***THREAD***
Kenya became a republic on 12 December 1964. However, the threat to the new republic’s unity was a mixture of ideological accusations in the context of the Cold War and personal ambitions.

Because of his age, Kenyatta was not expected to last on the political scene for long.
By virtue of being the vice-president, Odinga stood a better chance of being his successor. But this was not going to be possible. First because tribalism had become entrenched in Kenyan politics. Second, the British still pulled the strings behind the stage.
