The application timeline is always between November to May.
For example; Nov 2020 to May 2021. For september, 2021 intake.
3] Application requirements
a) Study plan: stating your education history and study interest.
b)Recommendation Letter: Two recommendation letters from previous or current university. Preferably, issued by a Professor, Associate Professor or a Doctor{academia}.
c) English Proficiency Certificate; an O'level result showing credit pass in English language, a letter of proficiency from your previous university, IELTS, or TOEFL.
Anyone out of the above-mentioned is suitable.
d) Physical Examination Report: A medical report indicating your current state of health. The form for required health report is available on the scholarship website.
e) Passport Copy [International Passport] The data page of your international passport needs to be uploaded.
f) Passport Photograph
g) Application Form: This form will be downloaded from the scholarship website filled and re-uploaded.
h) The scholarship doesn't require an application fee but many schools require application fees & there are schools that doesn’t require application fee
i) Police clearance report: you can obtain this from the nearest police office to you. Mostlikely, a police headquarter or a main branch in your city.
j) Additional requirement for Ph.d applicants: a Ph.d applicant needs to contact a professor/supervisor in your Chinese university of choice in advance stating your interest to be his/her research student. This is strongly advised for a Ph.d applicant but not mandatory.

The application process involves two steps.
Step 1: Find your course/major/discipline of interest on the website link provided here campuschina.org
Note: The courses with asterisk are the ones eligible for Chinese Government Scholarship.
Step 2: Fill a online Application Form on the Chinese Government Scholarship website studyinchina.csc.edu.cn
Note: There are three categories (A, B, and C) in the CSC scholarship.
The right one for this guide is the category B.
The category A is bilateral government scholarship, which is handled by the governments, for example the Federal Government of Nigeria and the People's Republic of China.
Also, the category C, is for students who are already in China that intend to enroll for scholarship.
Footnote 1: Language of teaching is either English or Chinese. It's advisable you select English taught course.
Footnote 2: Under Category B. An applicant can apply to a maximum of 3 different universities. The courses applied for in the three could be the same or different
Footnote 3: There are 279 China universities in support of the CSC scholarship so you will mostlikely find a university that offers your course of interest. There are other Provincial scholarships in China, which is offered by the provinces and numerous Universities scholarships
