1. The goal of copy is to make people buy

Clever and funny doesn't sell.

Focus on copy that makes viewers pull out their credit card.
2. The better your product is and the stronger your brand is, the less important your copy is

When you have a great brand, a high quality product, and strong social proof, you don't need to do a lot of selling.

In fact, aggressive long form copy can have the opposite effect.
3. Even great copy can't save a bad product.

A great product with poor copy will still sell.

The reverse isn't necessarily true.

Focus on building a great product. Copy comes second.

Plus, when you have a great product, it's a lot easier to write great copy.

But your customers aren't dumb

Simplicity works, but you need to communicate your message appropriately

Consistency and framing are much more important.

Don't be afraid of complexity in your copy if needed.
To sell to the masses and scale your offer with cold traffic, don't sell directly

Go indirect with a story first

It's organic and doesn't feel like an ad

Best bet is to incorporate real customer stories from Reddit and Amazon reviews
