Pacha Rama Linga Kshetras

During the war of Murugan/ Kartikeyan and Tarakasur whenever Murugan tried to kill Tarkasur and split him into pieces using the Shakti Vel the body used to rejoin and gain it's shape. This was a surprise at all levels to Murugan.

He was thinking of multiple ways to understand what exactly is helping Tarakasur to join back and gain immense power. With help if Narayana's vaani he came to know the secret behind this. Bhagwan Narayana said that until the Shivling worn by Tarakasur on his neck isn't broken ++

He wouldn't be defeated at any level. This Lingam hs to be broken down by the Vel and then the power of Tarakasur will be lost. Narayana guided once the Lingam will be broken dwn the pieces will try to join back and Murugan has to prevent it by ensuring the pieces to be fixed

In the land where they fall. Muruga took the advice and ge broke open the shivlingam on the neck of Tarakasur and immediately fixed them at the places with help of Devtas. A weapon of fire was used by Muruga to break shivlingam. Temples were built and prayers started

Indra, surya, chandra, Maha Vishnu and Muruga have installed these Pancha Ramaas and prayed first. After breaking the Lingam Muruga could defeat Tarakasur and kill him. These temples are important pilgrimages.

Amararamam - Amaravati - Krishna River Banks- Indra installed the Lingam and offered first prayers. Bala Chamundeshwari Mata is the shakti here.

Daksharamam - Bhimeshwara Ramachandrapuram- Shree Rama , Surya and Indra offered their prayers here. Manikyamba devi is the shakti here. This is one among the 18 shakti peetas too. This place is considered as one where Daksha Yagnya was performed

Somarama - Someshwara swami - Bhimavaram. Chandra offered prayers here and got rid of his sins. It is said the Lingam turns white on poornima and black in amavasya. Annapurneshwari is the shakti here.

Ksheeraraama - palakollu - Place where Narayana prayed and received sudarshana and upamanya maharishi received ksheera from Shiva. Maata parvati is the shakti here.
