The biggest news in @GoogleForEdu’s recent changes is the elimination of free unlimited storage in #GoogleWorkspaceEdu.

Now, the entire district or school domain shares 100 TB of pooled storage for their Drives, Photos, and gmail. (1/3) #GSuiteEdu

For your average school, that means more than 40 GB of storage for each student/employee, which should be plenty.

For “Institutions with greater than 20,000 students, faculty, and staff” Google says they’ll provide “additional storage.” It’s unclear how much. (2/3) #GoogleEdu
The issue will be schools with just under 20k, as they’ll receive just over 5 GB per student and staff member for Photos, Drive, and gmail. (3/3)
