As a teen, I'd make my way to SW Welch used bookstore in Montreal (prior location). It's one of the places I learned to love reading. For the landlord to jack the price and say "The guy’s selling antique books," says everything about this story. @grescoe

Landlord goes on to say "You have to ask yourself: Does anybody buy books today?". Uh, ok. For shame.
The story gets wilder. The same landlord, in another story re COVID-19 . “I would like to understand from Legault — you want to shut everything down. Florida’s wide open. Are we going to turn this into a communist country? Into a socialist country?” FFS.
