Interesting article in @tabletmag arguing against the use of Yeshivish.

Rabbi Emanuel Feldman made a similar argument in his article “Tefillin in a Brown Paper Bag,” Tradition 26:1 (1991).

Personally, I think there’s an important distinction between speaking and writing.
Here’s the article by Rav Emanuel Feldman—one of my all time favorites.

Must read if you’ve never seen it. And if you have, it’s worth reading again:

Pashut tho I see both tzdadim.
If they come after Journey’s Yeshivish Reid tho I’m calling the ADL.

“Not many people have asked if I’m ok.”
I don’t follow the royal family much but this exchange from 2 years ago was very raw and deeply moving.

Life is real. Try to make it easier for yourself and others.

❤️💔❤️
Some may wonder almost incredulously that a royal would have such issues.

What’s even wrong? Her life is perfect? Others have it so much worse!

But that’s the thing about mental health issues. It fogs your vision. And none of that matters.

That’s why this is so powerful.

I first davened in Rabbi Lebowitz’s shul when it was in the basement of his house.

A few families—including my sister—gathered to create a shul.

I grew up under Rabbi Lebowitz (his mother literally designed childhood living room).

A gem of a leader illuminating our people.
Top 5 me & @bknwrabbi fun facts:

1. Our sisters are bff's from high school
2. He was the assistant rabbi in my shul prior to BKNW
3. His mom designed my parent's home
4. He introduced me to the study of Jewish history
5. He gave me a 68 in Navi his first year teaching 😢
There's a real lesson from #4.

On thursday nights we had mishmar. School ended later. RAL was a young teacher--first year on the job. He was taking over mishmar. Not a teacher's dream. But he gave it 100%. He retold Dr. Shnayer Leiman on the Emden Eibeschitz controversy.

Bless yourself and watch this video.

An American Bubbe fell into a radioactive ulpan and this superhero emerged.

🦸🏻❤️🦸🏻
Stressed out Israeli mom captured the stress of this pandemic.

Chilled out American Israeli Bubbe is gonna get us out of this.

THESE TWO NEED THEIR OWN TELEVISION SHOW ASAP
Twitter. Please. I beg of you.

Can someone please do a mashup video of these two superheroes?

I need this. We need this.

An Ode to Hershel & the Hanukkah Goblins
So, yeah I’ve emailed authors asking them about the movie rights for their books.

My email to Eric Kimmel, author of Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblin
His response was so kind. 🥰

Seems @AdamSandler appreciation goes farther than I thought. ❤️🙌🎶
And trigger warning.

This rabbi is right.

The “I have a little dreidel” song is pathetic.

Don’t @ me.
