This is a scam. Temporary Protected Status (TPS) will never be revoked.
2) The purpose of TPS was not to try to punish a socialist autocrat. We have asylum laws for those people who need case by case temporary protection to work for positive change back home.
3) TPS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A TEMPORARY FORM OF WITHHOLDING OF REMOVAL IN ORDER FOR A COUNTRY DISRUPTED BY NATURAL DISASTER TO REGAIN ITS FOOTING IN DELIVERING SOCIAL SERVICES -- maybe a few months.
4) All this grant does is reward Maduro with hard currency, drain off opposition and help him consolidate power.
5) Biden has provided no cost impact assessment or determination of the likely short-term burdens on Americans, the community, schools, etc., including no analysis of the current immigration status of these beneficiaries.
6) The Administration has provided no rational basis for setting the grant to affect only those here as of March 8th, rather than rolling forward and definitely.
7) Biden seems to think Immigration grants are a cost free way of mollifying a political base, again on a partisan basis. He is making a mockery of our immigration system.
