"Professor Sabnis says on his twitter that he lives in new york but teaches in new jersey so he is lying on his twitter bio because no one lives in new york and works in new jersey. we can get twitter to ban him for lying."

Oh I'm loving my secret telegram access, bhakts. 🤣🤣
Now they're discussing how Sabnis is live tweeting the chats. 🤣🤣🤣
"it is very possible that sabnis might be on this group"

Ya think?
Please don't ask me for invites, folks. I was given access under very strict conditions. Tweeting this, I got permission from my source. It's a bit Borat-ish, how I get access to them. Can't share yet.
Ugh, group is on freeze until they do a membership audit now. What a sad sad loss. 😏
It's amazing how tech-unsavvy bhakts are! They genuinely think I'm a member of their telegram group through my own primary cellphone number.
Don't worry folks. I tweeted it with the explicit intention of making the group shut down out of paranoia. I'm still on many other groups. Much data are being collected.
"I don't think sabnis is here, right? we are only 26 members."

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh I so wish I could share these screenshots, but my access agreement explicitly forbids those cos they can be used to track my source. One day. In an FT50 journal hopefully.
"sending link for new group by sms. sprry but only +91 ind numbs allow. +1 +44 number please excuse for now. sabnis is american."

This is like a private reality show for my own benefit.
As entertaining as this is, my source has cut me off for the night. 😭😭

Sigh.
I'm a doddering dim-witted 40 year old but even I'm more tech savvy than this IT Cell.
Hehe. Major audits happening in Malviyaland.
When bhakts realize the gaping hole in their system that allowed this
..🤣🤣🤣
Wow, they're really invested in "proving" that I don't really live in NYC but in NJ. So far people who've been in my NYC apt -
@sidvee @amitvarma @krishashok @pjux @madmanweb @BabaGlocal @suchitrav @natashajaved1 @meherness etc etc.

This is such a hilarious flex by sanghis! 🤣🤣
Sanghis are just so incompetent!
"can someone ask threw whatsapp when he was at wich uni? we will be believed if we can get one of his students to call him anti hindu."

Such earnest hard-working fascists!

2006-11 Penn State
2011-12 Fordham
2012-now Stevens 🤣
This tweet is being sent around as clinching proof of me being "anti-hindu". This is what they want to put on par with anti-semitism. The people whining about cancel culture think this will make Stevens fire me. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Also featured are my opinions about karwa chauth, bhaubeej, diwali crackers pollution, holi turning into a mass sexual harassment event, and of course, my bashing brahminism. These idiots really think they can get someone fired for these progressive opinions. Sigh.
"i found this from well befire modi so we can establish his hate of hindus with farvardin"

I had no idea bhakt twitter was still this hung up on my complete disdain for the rakhi concept.

Farvardin is the name of my university's President. They think that a US university President named...(checks notes)... Nariman Farvardin... is going to fire me for bashing my own heritage. This is how completely Modi has turned them into useful idiots.
As I wake up on this weird wednesday morning after a tuesday filled with 2 rupee trolls, I thought of watching this scene.

"YOU WILL BE SHOT FOR THIS!! 😠"

"Nah, more like chewed out.. I've been chewed out before. 🤷🤷"

Honestly, not even chewed out.

If this thread is entertaining you, I'm happy to help. But just a reminder that I possess this brahmin male privilege so I can really do and say whatever the hell I want without much consequence. But indian academics, especially bahujan ones, have it exponentially worse.
Heck, even just in this New Jersey academia targeting campaign of theirs, Audrey has faced way wayyyyyyyyy more horrific hate than I can even imagine. Sanghis get super excited about attacking women. I have the luxury of not ever being threatened with rape over my tweets.
If you're a brahmin male who does not endorse fascism, please try to weaponize your privilege for a good cause.

Btw this really made me happy because it means my #FactCheckBait awareness campaign isn't just me screaming at clouds. It directly hits how their targets are counted and how they are paid.

Long way to go. Even now mutuals RTing sanghi bait. But it's a start.
So yes, I'm going to keep trying to politely and firmly keep reminding people that you can ridicule and infuriate fascists and also hurt them by not RTing. Like ok, we all want to ridicule Haggi. Do you really have to QT tweets praising him and help them get paid?
How NOT to ridicule Haggi? QT this tweet and add your ridicule. Or screenshot in ways that the handle or hashtags are visible. That's how they get paid.

How to ridicule Haggi? Crop this and say "Haggi public mein hag raha hai kya? 🤣🤣🤣" Image

"Your travel pictures make America look exactly like in movies and TV shows."

Honestly, that's America, not me. It's remarkable how close this country is to its screen portrayals in every way.
LOL at this when I get those comments exclusively on pictures when I'm in the countryside or out in nature. I'm not saying all of America is Seinfeld or Fresh Prince. And in 2021, who is watching only NY/LA based American content? 🤔🤔

My point is different from this.... Image
The public places you see in Indian stuff are usually different from reality. They are a scrubbed, cleaned (literally), sanitized, idealized portrayals of India. Reality is different.

In American content, even set it "middle America", you don't see this dichotomy.

Oooh, I thought I recognized the mountains as the ones in my original sasuraal, the Coachella Valley. By that I don't mean I'm a huge fan of huge concerts. That's literally where Rupal lived before moving in with me. In Indio. Ah the Jalisco food. 😋😋
Her parents ran a motel half a mile from the Coachella venue. We never attended the music festival ourselves tho cos of a very desi reason. If we did, it would mean one less room for in-laws to sell. And the festival is when they'd make a big chunk of their annual revenue.
Our visits or celebrations would always be timed for off-peak seasons. Like even our wedding was held in August, when the California desert is at its hottest. The day we married, it was 104F at midnight, 123F at noon. Too hot to even have a pool party for the guests. 🤣🤣

So this view from our Lake Placid cabin faces exactly North. Like I am looking at this right now past midnight and I can see Polaris right in front and the Big Dipper and Cassiopeia nicely snuggling it on a clear night sky. And that jogged a Chile memory. So gather around....
I'm gonna post this thread and then unroll it and use it for the sample chapter of my "Imma try BillBrysoning Chile travel" book.

So a huge reason @k_rupal picked Chile as the surprise destination for our 10th anniv trip was how crazy I am about astronomy.
And she booked us a few nights at Alain Maury's SPACE lodge (google him... What a lovely guy!). The first event was a general star gazing session with 25 other people bussed in from San Pedro a few miles away. Alain didn't host that. It was a PhD student.

It's that time of the year again when sanghi twitter thinks this is going to work. 🤣🤣🤣

It's like they don't even google me. 😭😭😭😭
Today is Tuesday btw 😌
Just to be clear, yes, this is a legit email from my school's HR. So I guess after @AudreyTruschke, they stayed in Jersey in terms of their online swarm activity. This could be a great research opportunity!

Somehow, I think we in the United States will manage to cope with this devastating revelation.
As the world's foremost lover of the "American Chopsuey" from Indian restaurants (I have it delivered from Curry Hill regularly), here's a short thread on why that sweet tomato-ey thing has a hilarious and also wholesome origin story typifying late 20th century food fusion.
The story starts in late 19th C California where this dish called "chop suey" was created. It literally just means leftovers or scraps. But it became a thing in the American-Chinese scene and the name became universal. But the original chop suey in America is not like in India.
