I think one of the issues for a @GovJayNixon #MOSEN bid is that it’s not a good assumption that his past electoral success in 2008 and 2012 will replicate years after his state has shifted politically — just ask Phil Bredesen and Tommy Thompson.

Also I’ll let the former guv speak for himself but every time I’ve talked with him post-governorship he seems pretty content being in the private sector.
