The weatherman who made Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) storm off of a morning TV show set has more to say about the incident.

The weatherman, Alex Beresford, released a statement about the incident:

"Over the last few years, Piers and I have had a lively, cheeky on-air relationship"

“I hoped we could reach a place of understanding,” Beresford said. “It’s sad that we weren’t able to get there, but challenging his opinion was not an outrage."

The incident was so shocking that many viewers thought it was staged.
