Megan’s story...

Megan had eczema as a baby and as a toddler she was diagnosed with asthma. Hay fever came next and then her allergies surfaced at age 8.

We sadly learnt after Megan’s death that her eczema, asthma, allergies & hay fever were all linked.

This is called atopy...a genetic tendency to develop allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, asthma and atopic dermatitis.

Megan was atopic and should’ve been classed as high risk by her GP with a care plan put in place.
Instead her allergies were diagnosed as “mild”.

A term we now know should NEVER be used in reference to allergies.

Vital research from @NatashasLegacy shows we’re not alone. Please read narf.org.uk/blog/allergies… and push for answers from your GP if this resonates with your experiences.
