Britain should have a presidential head of state instead of a constitutional monarchy according to mainly lefty republicans. Hmm...let's take a look at some examples of foreign heads of state, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II...

Remember these?👇
Robert Mugabe - President of Zimbabwe
A liberation "hero" in struggle for independence who transformed himself into a murderous despot, Mugabe arrested and tortured opposition, squeezed economy into astounding negative growth and billion-percent inflation..
Bashar al-Assad - President of Syria
Assad has squandered billions on foreign misadventures in Lebanon and Iraq while neglecting the needs of the Syrian people. Currently barrel bombing and gassing his own population.
Hosni Mubarak - President of Egypt
A senile and paranoid autocrat whose sole preoccupation was self-perpetuation in office, Mubarak was suspicious of even his own shadow. He kept a 30-year-old emergency law in place to squelch any opposition.
Paul Kagame - President of Rwanda
A liberator who saved Tutsis from complete extermination in 1994, Kagame then practiced the same ethnic apartheid he sought to end. His Rwandan Patriotic Front dominated all levers of power.
Alexander Lukashenko - President of Belarus
An autocrat and former collective farm chairman, Lukashenko maintains an iron grip on his country, monitoring opposition movements with a secret police distastefully called the KGB.
Omar al-Bashir - President of Sudan
A megalomaniac zealot who quashed all opposition, Bashir was responsible for the deaths of millions of Sudanese and has been indicted by International Criminal Court for war crimes.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow - President of Turkmenistan
Succeeding the eccentric tyrant Saparmurat Niyazov this obscure dentist kept on keeping on with his late predecessor's repressive policies, explaining that, after all, he bears an "uncanny resemblance to Niyazov"...
Isaias Afwerki - President of Eritrea
A crocodile liberator Afwerki turned his country into a national prison in which independent media are shut down, elections are rejected, military service is mandatory, and government would rather support Somali militants than its own people
Islam Karimov - President of Uzbekistan
A ruthless thug ruling since Soviet times, Karimov banned opposition parties, tossed as many as 6,500 political prisoners into jail. Karimov's regime earned notoriety for boiling two people alive and torturing many others.
Meles Zenawi - Prime Minister of Ethiopia
Zenawi clamped down on the opposition, stifled all dissent, and rigged elections. Like a true Marxist revolutionary, Zenawi stashed millions in foreign banks and acquired mansions in Maryland and London in his wife's name.
Idriss Déby - President of Chad
Having led a rebel insurgency against a former dictator, Déby faces a similar challenge. To repel would-be coup, Déby has drained social spending accounts to equip the military, co-opted opposition-leader foes, and built a moat around the capital.
Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo - President of Equatorial Guinea
Obiang and his family literally own the economy, having reportedly amassed a fortune exceeding $600 million while the masses are left in desperate poverty.
Yahya Jammeh - President of the Gambia
This eccentric military buffoon has vowed to rule for 40 years and claims to have discovered the cure for HIV/AIDS. Insists on being addressed as His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya Abdul-Azziz Jemus Junkung Jammeh.
Hugo Chávez - President of Venezuela
Quack leader of Bolivarian Revolution, Chávez promoted a doctrine of participatory democracy in which he was the sole participant, having jailed opposition leaders, extended term limits, destroyed the economy and closed independent media.
Blaise Compaoré - President of Burkina Faso
A tin-pot despot with no vision and no agenda, save self-perpetuation in power by liquidating opponents and stifling dissent, Compaoré lived up to the low standards of his own rise to power of murdering his predecessor in a 1987 coup.
Yoweri Museveni - President of Uganda
After leading a rebel insurgency that took over Uganda in 1986, Museveni declared: "No African head of state should be in power for more than 10 years". 34 years later, he is still here, winning one "coconut election" after another.
Raúl Castro - First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba
Afflicted with intellectual astigmatism, the second brother Castro is pitifully unaware that the revolution he leads is obsolete, an abysmal failure, and totally irrelevant to the aspirations of the Cuban people.
Paul Biya - President of Cameroon
A suave bandit who has reportedly amassed a personal fortune of more than $200 million and mansions to go with it, Biya co-opted opposition into complete submission. He has rigged term limit laws to make sure the party doesn't end anytime soon.
Hu Jintao - General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party
A chameleon despot who beguiled foreign investors with a smile and a bow, but ferociously crushed political dissent Hu sought new colonies in Africa from which to extract the natural resources his growing economy craved
Muammar Gaddafi - Brotherly Leader
An eccentric egoist infamous for his indecipherably flamboyant speeches, Qaddafi ran a police state based on his version of Mao's Red Book, the Green Book, which included a solution to the Problem of Democracy.
Leopoldo Galtieri - President of Argentina
Famous for taking and then promptly losing the Falkland Islands. Suspended Congress, banned trade unions, political parties and provincial governments and "disappeared" between 9,000 and 30,000 people deemed to be "subversives".
Saddam Hussein - President of Iraq
Commissioned a Qur’an using 50 pints of his own blood, whilst murdering 250000 Shia and Kurds in various genocides. Only man found to be bad enough to upset the UN. Survived 2 US led invasions but was eventually found hiding in a hole and hung.
Idi Amin - President of Uganda
Popularly known as "Butcher of Uganda, 500000 killings, rampant human rights abuses, including political repression, ethnic persecution and extrajudicial killings, yet sat on UNCHR between 77 and 79, before fleeing into exile to Saudi Arabia.
Slobodan Milošević - President of Serbia
Particularly un-neighbourly fan of Russia and China. First sitting head of state to be charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity in Kosovo. Tried at the ICC where he defended himself but died before a verdict could be reached.
Radovan Karadžić - President of Republika Srpska
Known as the "Butcher of Bosnia", he was charged with 11 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Found guilty of genocide in Srebrenica, he was sentenced to 40 years, which he appealed, lost and had increased to life.
Nicolas Sarkozy - President of France
Slick-talking, affair-loving, multi-divorcee, millionaire-manchild, occupant of Elysee Palace, darling of the EU, guilty of corruption and influence peddling, sentenced to 3 years, 2 suspended, 1 he'll spend appealling, from a big yacht.
Richard Nixon - President of the United States
Famous for Watergate exposure of sneaky tactics of his administration team i.e. bugging opponents, harassing activists and political figures. Facing impeachment, he was the first US President to resign, although he was later pardoned
Bill Clinton - President of the United States
Famous for shagging his 22 year old intern, Bill became the second US President to be impeached, for perjury and obstruction of justice. Somehow acquitted, he eventually left office with the highest approval rating since WWII🤷‍♂️
Donald Trump - President of the United States
As soon as The Donald described Mexicans as a bit rapey, we were all on a wild Twitter ride! Impeached for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress (acquitted) later impeached again for incitement of insurrection (acquiited). Wow!!
Vladimir Putin - President of Russia
This homophobic KGB intelligence officer, enjoys torturing political opponents, poisoning defectors with exotic heavy metals, making dissidents disappear and invading his neighbours. Also bareback riding topless in the snow and hacking.
Pol Pot - General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kampuchea
Marxist psychopath who relocated urban populations into the fields to work on collective farms. Responsible for the deaths of at least 2 million - about 25% of Cambodians - through his Khmer Rouge genocidal savagery.
Joseph Stalin - General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union
Paranoid dictator, who beat Hitler on the western front, then imprisoned 3% of his own population in Gulags, starved millions more, walled off most of Eastern Europe and started a nuclear "Cold War"🤷‍♂️
Mao Zedong - Chairman of the Communist Party of China
Personality Cult leader, founded People's Republic of China by invading Korea, killing millions, purging "Rightists", starving 55 million didn't-want-to-be-farmers and then persecuting millions more with a Cultural Revolution.
Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini - Supreme Leader of Iran
Responsible for Iranian Revolution, persecution and execution of religious minorities, homosexuals, wome...million dead in Iraq War, 2 million more in Islamic Holy War. "Economics is for donkeys" statement didn't bode well.

Let's imagine if Boris won a majority. We'd be out of the EU at the end of January. There'd be an 11 month transition period (TP) to negotiate an FTA with the EU, after which we'd leave on WTO terms. During the TP we'd be free to negotiate with the USA, Canada, Australia, New /1
Zealand, Japan etc. which would focus the minds of the EU. We'd be independent at the WTO, and still be members of over 100 international organisations, including NATO, UNSC,G5,G8,,G10,G20, Five Eyes, Commonwealth, IMF, ICCt, IEA, ICAO, IAEA, UNESCO, WCO, WHO, OECD. /2
We've secured Trade Continuity Agreements with 48 of the 70 countries that we currently trade with under EU agreements plus Mutual Recognition Agreements with US, Australia and New Zealand plus a temporary MRA with Japan. The remaining countries make up 2.66% of our trade /3
