@RebeccaVanderh6 @kevinmnye1 2/ The majority of Fresno, CA's homeless have disabling conditions like mental illness, are legally entitled to Social Security disability and other benefits, and aren't receiving them! Just evil, and incompetent, & expensive to system: -hospitalizations, police, courts, jail.

Everest, then tossing them off the cliff if they got to the top. It's the most vicious system. What a cruel thing to do to people with broken brains.

@RebeccaVanderh6 @kevinmnye1 @threadreaderapp 6/ I used my paralegal education and Silicon Vly, CA, law ofc experience in conservatorships to get the mentally ill vet off Fresno, CA, sts and into VA housing, disability. No one came to save him: not the feds, state, county or city. He would have died out here.
@RebeccaVanderh6 @kevinmnye1 @threadreaderapp 7/ Ok, so I didn't get my wish for a real bed, 6 ft of sleeping space, a coffee pot (law firm teams' veins are mostly coffee 😉), hot showers, a locking door, and decent wifi. But I saved a life - the vet's. And that is ultimately more important than my personal comforts/wishes.
