It's ironic that the right finds vindication in WaPo's correction when their media refuses to correct purposeful errors and defends themselves in court by claiming no reasonable person would believe they are telling the truth.
Most recently, Tucker Carlson successfully argued that no one would reasonably believe he is reporting facts.

And it seems to work, the judge ruled in Carlson's favor. According to a Trump-appointed federal judge, "This “general tenor” of the show should then inform a viewer that he is not “stating actual facts” about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in “exaggeration”
and “non-literal commentary.” … Given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’

GOP: WaPo making a correction discredits mainstream media and proves they are corrupt liars. Not like FOX and RW media who seldom issue corrections and claim they can't be sued because only idiots believe they are telling the truth.
