The bill just passed the Senate 20 to 13

It passed the House 57 to 42

It's now on the way to the governor's desk.
House Bill 2013: "Hope Scholarship Program"

Over 90% of students in the state would be eligible for the program in the first year
Families would be able to take their children's education dollars to the education provider of their choosing:

• Private school
• Tutoring
• Testing / Instructional materials
• Special needs therapies
• Any other approved education expenses
This is the most expansive proposal to fund students instead of systems this year and it passed the West Virginia legislature.

New Study: Students using the Indiana voucher program were 9 percentage points more likely to enroll in college within a year of graduating high school than similar students in public schools.
