what’s going to happen to this space? is this a bubble?
- nfts space is like the early iOS app store.
- some artists and projects who built early will thrive.
- many won’t.
- mainstream is coming.
- tech isn’t ready.
- rapid innovation phase begins now.
- not a bubble.
nft space is like the early iOS app store:
- lots of sub-par apps
- quick money grabs
- experimentation
- poor ui
- poor ux
many won’t:
- as the space gets more noisy, those who have not established themselves will be left behind.
- this is like any other growing and competitive industry.
- standing out from the crowd becomes harder.
- its hard to compete against established fan-bases and customers.
tech isn’t ready:
- blockchains can’t handle the traffic.
- most nfts today suck (nothing on-chain).
- industry reliant on @opensea API (thanks guys!)
- no unified wallet solutions.
- wallets ux / ui sucks - people are scared.
- lack of regulation.
- painful on and off-ramps.
rapid innovation phase begins now:
- VC $$$$ has found nfts.
- previously unfunded projects are now funded.
- creative problem solving to address customer needs will lead to breakthroughs.
- less focus on individual blockchains and how the entire stack can be leveraged.
not a bubble:
- there are more buyers entering the space than quality projects. supply/demand.
- sure, a lot of shit is way overpriced. micro-bubbles yes.
- the last 3 years will be a part of history.
- so will the next 3.
- big brands and celebrities bring more adoption.
