A SHORT THREAD. A friend who tested positive for Covid-19 in December 2020 and is now fully recovered told me these were his survival tips, and they worked. I didn’t ask whether they came from a doctor. In any event, this is not medical advice. /1
Covid Management: 4-Course Home Management Regime
A. Boosting immune system:
1.Vitamin C – 1000mg Daily
2.Multivitamins, with high Zinc level – Daily 3.Hot water, lemon, ginger, honey mix dawa. 1 glass every two hours through out the day. /2
B. Pain relief and fever management:
1. Paracetamols x 3 times a day 2. Cough syrup
C. Reducing viral load:
Steaming/inhaling hot water and Vicks to reduce viral load in the throat and soften mucus for discharge. /3
D. Oxygen and Avoiding Hypoxia at all costs 1. Buy an oximeter and start measuring your oxygen levels. Normal oxygen level in the blood is between 95% and 100%. If oxygen levels drop to 93% or 94%, then speak to a doctor. If below 90%, go to hospital immediately. /4

2. Buy a pack of balloons and blow in and out through the day to keep the lungs 3. Kneeling + coughing exercise to clear the phlegm from the lungs 4. Keep mobile and sit upright. Do not lie on your back. Sleep on your stomach or your side. /5
