Investing in 'safe' companies -

During this sell-off in growth stocks, I've received many comments about how unsafe and dangerous my companies are and how I should perhaps invest in some 'value' names to capture the rotation and reduce risk.

What is 'safe' is of course...
...a personal decision but any business which is swimming in debt, past its prime, struggling to grow and dependent on an over-indebted government's helicopter money is *NOT* safe IMHO.

Yes, such a 'value' play may do well temporarily on the back of the fiscal jab but the...
...sugar high will wear off with time.

The sharp selloff notwithstanding, I prefer to own the high growth, secular compounders which are growing at an unreal pace and are led by visionary founders/CEOs.

These companies allow me to sleep well at night because I know their...
...fundamentals are sound, they have long runways and bright futures.

These stocks are high-beta (volatile) but that doesn't make them high risk.

Fairly confident these businesses will be much bigger 10 years from now and I can't say the same about the 'safe' value stocks.

I've invested in $CPNG and $RBLX

Innovative businesses, great management teams, long growth runways, carving out 'moats'

Disclaimer - This is NOT a recommendation, these are high growth/unprofitable companies. Nobody should buy any securities without doing their own DD.

Increasing my gross exposure today
Friday seemed like capitulation and after sharp sell-off earlier in pre-market today, stocks are recovering.

A big rally today and +ve close will be telling IMHO
On Friday, after open my a/c was down ~10% and it closed the day almost flat.

Today, pre-market my a/c was down ~5% and is now +ve

Selling is now getting absorbed; so far so good.

Few soothing weekend charts -

Note - the time to panic is before the crash (not after)

Strong stomach > super high IQ💎 🙌

Chart 1) $ARKK / $SPY ratio (chart from @TKPTrader )
Chart 2) Proxy for high growth/innovation stocks $ARKK

Last week, I said keep an eye on the 40-wk EMA - look where the selling stopped during Friday's 'puke'
Chart 3) Super low gamma exposure (even lower than March 2020 crash!) Look what happened to $SPX after previous low prints - 🚀

H/t @PatternProfits for highlighting this

The news might be scary, the bears might be chirping, your stomach might be knotted but this too shall pass.

On 'pumping' stocks -

When I post about a company, I always disclose my personal interest (if any). I don't have to do this but do so out of courtesy and ethics, so others know if I have skin in the game or not.

I never tell anybody to buy or sell any security, neither...
... do I know who follows my account or reads my posts.

So, the notion that I pump stocks for my personal gain is ridiculous! For starters, I predominantly invest in mid to large-cap companies (not micro-caps or penny stocks) and even if a stock moves a bit due to my post,...
...as someone who tends to own shares for weeks/months and even years, any movement over a single day is largely irrelevant.

I post my thoughts on here because am passionate about investing and happy to share the knowledge I've picked up over the past 20+ years. Thats all.
