When did he invade Kalinga? -- 8th year of his rule.

Ashoka was a Buddhist when he waged the Kalinga war.
After the war he killed 18000 Non Buddhist who allegedly insulated Buddhism.

But whom do they finally blame.

Hindu and Hinduism.

And our history book called him "Ashoka the Great".
