From today, we will memorize the names of 27 Nakshatras in Vedic Jyotish to never forget in life.

I will write 4 names. Repeat them in SAME sequence twice in morning, noon, evening. Each day, revise new names + recall all previously learnt names.

Today's Nakshatras are:-

1. Ashwini - अश्विनी

2. Bharani - भरणी

3. Krittika - कृत्तिका

4. Rohini - रोहिणी

Ashwini - अश्विनी is the FIRST Nakshatra.

Repeat these names TWICE now, tomorrow morning, noon and evening. Like this tweet if you have revised 8 times as told.

5. Mrigashira - मृगशिरा

6. Ardra - आर्द्रा

7. Punarvasu - पुनर्वसु

8. Pushya - पुष्य

Purva means that comes before (P se Purva, P se pehele), and Uttara comes later.

Purva, Uttara prefixes come in other Nakshatras too. Purva= pehele wala. Remember.

The word Ashadha is also spoken as अषाढा or अषाढ़ा but all versions are acceptable. Shlokas in Vedas use अषाढा, and same is observed in some other texts. I am not stressing much on its pronunciation.

Recall all previous and these Nakshatras as you have been revising.

24. Shatbhisha - शतभिषा

Remaining Nakshatras are:-

25. Poorva Bhadrapada - पूर्वाभाद्रपद

26. Uttara Bhadrapada - उत्तराभाद्रपद

27. Revati - रेवती

The same pattern : Poorva comes before, Uttara comes later.

Between Nakshatra No. 21 & 22, there was a Nakshatra named Abhijit. Vedas mention its name, and it is also used in some tools. But prevailing Jyotish considers only 27 Nakshatras.

Now that we've learnt all the names, please revise names of all 27 Nakshatras twice a day for 3-4 days so that you do not forget them.

Be honest to yourself. Teach them to kids too.
