Yet numbers alone don’t tell the full story. Under MPP, Safe Thirds, asylum regs & Title 42, illegal migrants could all be promptly returned home. The reason for overcrowding is because Biden/Mayorkas cancelled the authorities needed for repatriation. Hence, catch-and-release.
Finally, let’s be clear about one more thing: Trump saved the asylum system. Biden dismantled it. By inviting mass illegal migration under the false banner of asylum, @SecMayorkas has taken a sledgehammer to the asylum system & displaced actual victims of government persecution.
