After 3 years studying the question, I do think we're in the middle of a shift away from the 40+ year orthodoxy of neoliberalism to something else. Growing voices, on both left and right, are clear that the economy must serve society, not vice versa. 1/
We started the Economy & Society Initiative @Hewlett_Found not to start this shift -- again, it is already happening-- but to help hasten and shape it 2/
As of tomorrow, and with more than a little sadness, I'll be leaving Hewlett. The Economy and Society Initiative will be in the capable hands of @bkettenring beginning in April. But I won't be leaving this work behind 4/
I'll be carrying it into the Biden Administration, helping to build a post-neoliberal vision for our international economic policy and foreign policy as Senior Director for International Economics & Labor at the NSC/NEC. 5/
