A 20 minute video on my concerns regarding the vulnerabilities of current EVM-VVPAT design.
On how it surrendered the strengths of pre-VVPAT EVM design & also did not bring in the checks of a true VVPAT design. What we have is a jugaad EVM-VVPAT now.
To all who are watching/reading these concerns, my humble request is to please don't link it to election results one way or the other. These are process concerns. And it will be there irrespective of which party wins.
Also @ECISVEEP, my concerns are regarding how introduction of VVPAT, and uploading of symbols by connecting it to an external device through serial port has seriously surrendered the process security aspects.
But you @ECISVEEP claim EVMs are stand-alone devices which does not communicate with any other device other than BU-CU and VVPAT.
Then how is name and symbol loaded on to the VVPAT for it to print the paper slip at the time of voting?
Please answer or don't mislead voters.
Btw @ECISVEEP, if ballot paper had money, it would have given an ad saying
Conducting elections since 1952. Not only in India, but across the globe.1000s of crores of voters voted etc etc.
So please don't act silly & be apologetic defenders of one process or the other.
Attended an interactive session in Bhagalpur today. #BiharDiaries
Then visit and interaction at Rajoun, Banka. #BiharDiaries
Also got a chance to visit Mandar hills and the temple there. Had no idea the Mandar parvat of Samudra Manthan fame is situated in Banka. That was a pleasant surprise.
It says "The basis of @ECISVEEP's confidence flows from a wide range of administrative protocols and procedural safeguards that protect EVMs and VVPATs against any sort of manipulation.."
And goes on to present only two key safeguards. 3/n
Dear PM @narendramodi, please ensure your IT cell employees are given decent wages.
They say that current rate for likes & RTs are very low. And during covid it is getting difficult.
When your side-kick @AmitShah can get his son placed in a luxurious job, this is highly unfair.
You make a lot of money from electoral bonds & stuff. But most of it spent on opposition for buying MLAs after elections.
A small portion of it can be used to provide a decent wage to the 1000s who are working day & night for you dear PM @narendramodi. They really need it.
On top of that heard that this time around they had a voluntary Mandir donation cut also. "Voluntary" like the mandatory covid salary cut of Govt employees.
Many hadn't even earned as much as they had to donate. I am sure dear PM @narendramodi, you will take note of it.
