Lightfoot: We're starting to see an uptick in new cases, particularly among 18-29 and 30-39. "COVID-19 is still here, folks. It is still real. It is still deadly. And, unfortunately, it is still sending people to the hospital very single day."

Lightfoot: "We will step back and have to close back down if we are not diligent, particularly that 18-to-40-year-old cohort. It's critically important that those folks and everyone remain diligent."

Arwady: Chicago providers have put more than 1 million vaccine doses into arms. And we're doing it in a way that promotes equity. "We are not done. Please keep wearing that mask, doing the social distancing, doing the things that have gotten us this far."

Arwady: Less than 15% of Chicagoans have completed their vaccinations.

Arwady: At this point, no plans for a 24-hour vaccination site.

We'll see what the demand and vaccine supply looks like.

Arwady: We'll keep prioritizing essential workers; if there are more creative things we need to do to reach them, we'll look into that.

Arwady: The recommendation still is to limit non-essential travel.

Lightfoot: The travel order has been effective in elevating public consciousness about travel risks.

Lightfoot: About 50% of seniors in Chicago are vaccinated, but we're "way behind other jurisdictions" in terms of vaccinations.

Lightfoot on Loretto: "I fear that we're gonna hear more stories, which is why we pushed 'pause' on giving Loretto more doses."

She and CDPH have reached out to the CEO.
