🦄 Today we are thrilled to present a detailed overview of Uniswap v3, the most flexible and capital efficient AMM ever designed!

🏃 Mainnet launch is scheduled for May 5, with a scalable Optimism L2 deployment set to follow soon after

Uniswap v3’s groundbreaking new feature is Concentrated Liquidity positions

Rather than being required to allocate capital across the entire price spectrum from 0 to infinity, each LP is given full control over what price ranges they wish to provide liquidity to
4/

📊 v3 LPs can approximate any conceivable order book or AMM curve by composing multiple positions per pair

🤯 Infinite strategies can be efficiently aggregated together into a single pool, forming a combined curve that users can trade against
5/

💸 Concentrated Liquidity means LPs can earn the same amount of fees with just a fraction of the underlying capital, while keeping more of their total portfolio in desired assets!

🔥 Capital efficiency gains max out at 4000x for LPs adding liquidity to a 0.10% price range
6/

As an example: a v3 DAI/USDC LP could concentrate $5m into the 0.995/1.005 range

This earns the same fees and provides the same depth for traders as $2bn liquidity allocated across the entire price curve (v2) for as long as the market trades in that price range
7/

If the market price moves out of an LPs specified range, their liquidity is composed entirely in one of their two pair assets.

All assets that v2 LPs reserve for prices outside this range can instead be used for hedging or increasing exposure to desired assets!
8/

Other features include:

📊 Flexible fee tiers: choose between 5bps, 30bps, or 100bps

🔮 Advanced oracles: return TWAPs in one transaction

🔥 Range Orders: LPs can sell for another along a smooth curve, similar to a fee earning limit order

More details in the blogpost!

The implications of Uniswap v3's flexible and efficient design are massive.

We plan to release more documentation, examples, and articles soon!

In the mean time, the Uniswap v3 core smart contracts can be found here:

💜 None of this would be possible without Uniswap's incredible community

🫂 We look forward to building an entire ecosystem on top of Uniswap v3 together

🦄We are excited to announce Token Lists, a new standard for creating lists of ERC20 tokens. This is a community initiative to improve discoverability and trust in ERC20 token lists in a manner that is inclusive, transparent, and decentralized.

Read more:
uniswap.org/blog/token-lis…
Token Lists follow a standard JSON schema and can be hosted publicly on ENS, IPFS, and HTTPS

Since lists are publicly hosted and follow a standard format, they can be decoupled from individual interfaces and instead be combined and shared across projects

tokenlists.org
In this way, Token Lists leverages Ethereum’s greatest strengths - its surplus of high quality projects and communities, their ability to share public infrastructure, and the ease of interoperability between them.

🧦 Announcing Unisocks - a limited edition, dynamically priced sock!!!

Now purchasable on unisocks.exchange Image
500 SOCKS tokens were created and deposited into a Uniswap liquidity pool with 35 ETH. This created the following price curve for SOCKS.

Every SOCKS sold increases the cost of the next, but they can be sold back into the pool at any time. Image
SOCKS will be burned in exchange for 1 real pair of unisocks + shipping to anywhere in the world.

After running for at least 100 days, all remaining liquidity will be removed and all remaining SOCKS tokens will be burned. Image
