On the ground in the Rio Grande Valley with the Hidalgo County Constable for @townhallcom. They’re one of the only agencies allowing ride alongs for media.
We have been in the area for 30 minutes and 62 illegal immigrants, many unaccompanied minors, have crossed.
To cap off the night in a different area of the RGV, just ran into a group of 13 illegal immigrants who have turned themselves into Border Patrol.
Was about to call it a night but groups of migrants keep showing up. This is about 73 people, some of them have small children, who came within about 25 minutes of each other.
We’ve now encountered around 200+ individuals in under three hours in the RGV.
In under four hours, I counted around 345 illegal immigrants turning themselves in to a mix of Border Patrol, local police, and Texas Highway Patrol in La Joya --> townhall.com/tipsheet/julio…
Earlier in the day, constables with Hidalgo County were writing down initial information from the migrants, such as country of origin (G = Guatemala, H = Honduras, etc.) and age --> townhall.com/tipsheet/julio…

Just spent three hours right on the U.S.-Mexico border and I’m still in shock at how many people illegally crossed during that time. I knew it was happening, but it’s different when you see it up close. Story to come on what I saw. I will say this is definitely a crisis.
In 3 hours, 263 immigrants made their way towards the processing site Border Patrol has set up after they illegally crossed into the US. That number is just the people who wanted to be caught and it included women, small children, and unaccompanied minors: townhall.com/tipsheet/julio…
As if to highlight how many people were crossing over, some got lost from their group after it became dark. Myself, a BP agent, and their "leader" went out to find them. We kept coming across other groups of immigrants before finding the lost ones: townhall.com/tipsheet/julio…
On the ground in Portland, Ore. for @townhallcom. A group of Antifa marchers just attacked the city’s Democratic Party office. They broke windows and spray painted the building.
Some of them had a hard time breaking the windows.
The group left after Portland police rolled up. Some photos of the aftermath.
One of the banners the Antifa group had while marching. Taken before the Democratic Party building in Portland was attacked.
