On Monday 15th March, IWGB Cycling Instructors Branch sent @EnfieldCouncil and @haringeycouncil a letter outlining our demands:
- Union recognition
- A fair cancellation policy
- An end to unpaid admin tasks
- The first pay rise in over a decade 2/7
We believe our work is now too precarious and is no longer sustainable, fair or viable for the status quo to continue. But our reasonable demands have been met with this disingenuous response from Enfield and no response from Haringey. 3/7
But we believe it’s a self-evident fact that the duty of care for people working on behalf of Enfield….

...in Enfield schools, under Enfield specific work instructions, under the direction of Enfield cycle officers, empowering Enfield children and keeping them safe on Enfield roads – lies with @EnfieldCouncil (and @haringeycouncil in Haringey)
