The hostage situation is officially over according to @OKCPD.

Sheriff Johnson confirms the suspect had something held to the officer’s neck. That’s when shots were fired and the suspect was killed. @kfor
Chief Gourley says he is glad the corrections officer wasn’t seriously hurt.
Says names will not be released tonight.
Jail Administrator Greg Williams confirms he is hearing about the allegations that this is regarding conditions at the jail but says he cannot confirm the motive at this time.
Williams says only one pod is involved.

Williams says this happened in a pod where the inmates are the “most difficult to manage.”
Williams confirms the jail is still on lockdown and will probably remain on lockdown for the remainder of the night.
Williams says they have called in extra staff to be at the jail tonight, is not sure what they will do in the days to come.
Sheriff Johnson confirms gas was deployed to get the inmates under control.

Kristie’s accomplice, 26-year-old Kahlil Deamie Square, was also arrested in connection with Evans’ murder.
We’re also now learning Kristie called 911 that morning, claiming an intruder entered her home. I requested the 911 call earlier this week. Still waiting.
