Konstantin Kilimnik is a dual Ukrainian/Russian citizen who worked for Paul Manafort’s political consulting firm and ran the Ukraine office. Kilimnik is linked to FSB and interactions with Manafort during the 2016 campaign lie “at the heart” of Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Kilimnik is a BFD: Andrew Weissman, one of Mueller’s top prosecutors, told the court that Konstantin Kilimnik’s activities go “very much to the heart of what the Special Counsel's Office is investigating."
Kilimnik, a dual Russian and Ukrainian national and Manafort’s former business partner, was indicted alongside Manafort and charged with attempting to obstruct justice. Kilimnik and his alleged ties to Russian intelligence have been a subject of tense focus
Manafort and Kilimnik met in New York on Aug. 2, 2016 and "That meeting and what happened at that meeting is of significance to the special counsel".
"In 2004 Manafort went to work in the Ukraine for right-wing Putin-puppet Viktor Yanukovych, where he made friends with many of Yanukovych’s Russian oligarch patrons."
"In March of 2016, he was hired as a consultant on Trump’s campaign."
"A U.S. embassy cable sent from Kiev to Washington in 2006 described Manafort’s job as giving an “extreme makeover” to a presidential hopeful named Viktor Yanukovych, who had the backing of the Kremlin and most of Ukraine’s wealthiest tycoons."
“I can tell you he’s a real specialist,” says Manafort’s friend Dmitry Firtash, the Ukrainian billionaire and former partner to the Kremlin in the European gas trade. “He won three elections in Ukraine. He knew what he was doing.”
"...in January 2016, the FBI initiated a money laundering and tax evasion investigation of Manafort based on his work with Ukraine political groups. That was well before Manafort joined the Trump campaign"
'Manafort... "was convicted of 8 felonies by a jury and pleaded guilty to money laundering and acting as a foreign agent for Ukraine to avoid a second trial (and likely to avoid detailed evidence of his Ukraine activities from being aired publicly in court)."
U.S. Embassy in Kyiv
"Constantin Kilimnik, the man pegged by the Mueller team and the press as a spy, communicated with the U.S. Embassy in Kiev during Ukraine’s political upheaval, a hearing transcript shows."
Read that again.
"Constantin Kilimnik, the man pegged by the Mueller team and the press as a spy, communicated with the U.S. Embassy in Kiev during Ukraine’s political upheaval, a hearing transcript shows."
"Mr. Kilimnik also worked in the 2000s in Moscow for the Washington-based International Republican Institute"
"The presence of Mr. Kilimnik, a Ukraine-born Russian citizen, keeps alive the theory that Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign manager, conspired with Moscow during the 2016 election."
"The redacted transcript of the hearing before Judge Jackson showed that Mr. Downing has pressed the Mueller team to turn over any evidence of Mr. Kilimnik working with the U.S. Embassy in Kiev."
Read it again.
"Mr. Weissmann told the judge he met the Brady request by talking to the State Department and confirming that Mr. Kilimnik in fact did have contacts the U.S. Embassy."

Re: U.S. Embassy, Kyiv
"There is no question that Mr. Manafort had communications with people at the State Department. There’s no question that Mr. Kilimnik did.”
2 November 2017
"During the Mueller probe, Mr. Kilimnik was interviewed by the FBI. He has not appeared in court to face charges. Court filings say that, after his indictment, he feared for his safety in Ukraine and moved to Russia."
KILIMNIK was MANAFORT's OFFICE MANAGER in UKRAINE
"Mr. Kilimnik served in the Russian military and did translations for intelligence units."
"... he was Manafort’s officer manager and translator in Ukraine."
'Serhiy Lyovochkin (Manafort’s longtime client in Kyiv) told Manafort the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv had demanded information about him from a specialized anti-corruption law enforcement body.'
"The notes came out in FOIA litigation pursued by Buzzfeed and CNN"

Yatsenyuk returns to Kiev:
from under whom will the prodigal "RABBIT" knock the chair out?
"What would Trump do without Yatsenyuk, I can't put my mind to it. Well, now you can return home, valuable instructions on maintaining anti-Russian sanctions and support for Ukraine have been abandoned, and even pro-Kremlin advisers Manafort and Flynn have been dismissed."
After his appointment, Yatsenyuk started to distance himself and his government from Russia, which at the same time invaded and later annexed Crimea in response to the ouster of Yanukovych.
So.
It is clear that we have multiple 'Kroliks' about which we need to ensure are known to be distinct, including but not limited to:
Good Rabbits
and
Evil Rabbits
So it seems to me, these 3 allies were the butt of a sarcastic joke by some Russian propagandist with and eye on the occupation of Crimea/Donetsk.
