The @esportsawards nominations are open! I've worked with some fantastic esports journalists over the past year who all deserve nominations. I'll thread some below.
Teddy Amenabar (@TeddyAmen) deserves a nod for his OWL coverage, which ranges from granular League minutiae to touching portraits of players in the scene.
Gregory Leporati (@LeporParty) has tackled tons of stories about esports breaking into the mainstream, and in ways that might be tough to recognize from inside esports.
This @ewan_morgan story was already nominated for an award!
"Until esports finds its way to profitability — and on terms amenable to an always-online audience — it will continue to wrestle with questions that commingle ethics and economic viability." washingtonpost.com/video-games/es…
Noah Smith (@VildeHaya) has written about just about every esports subject. Definitely deserves an @esportsawards nod.
Ethan Davison (@eadavison_) published a different big story today, but his skill at boiling down the thing everyone is talking about is on clearest display here. washingtonpost.com/video-games/es…
And then of course, I'll always be partial to this piece.
