It's that time of the year, yeah IPL time and with that comes @IPLFantasy too. Yeah all geared up for another exciting fantasy season. Just wanted to share on how to approach the season fantasy.

Two important things are player selection and use of trasfers(Boosters too). This thread is all about how to use your transfers and get maximum out of it. Here I won't be talking about players.

So the most basic thing is the match numbers and I have shared a photo of how it is done. Just to explain on what each symbol in this means, the lower connection is where a team has a streak of close matches (1 or 2 matches gap between their next match).

Upper connection is where a team has just 1 match gap between their next. So to connect this with the use of transfers, for matches with lower connection u can carry 2-3 players through to the next match and for matches with upper connection u can carry 3-5 players.

Next up the circled match numbers are the ones where a team has more than 3 matches gap between their next. To me if a team has more than a 3 match gap it is better not to carry that team's players to the next match as they just waste our slots.

So do not waste too much transfers on circled match numbers as they are just one-off transfers where u have to drop the players after that match.

So to go on about on how to use your transfers, at the initial stage of the competition u have to save your transfers for the later end.

It is not wise to spend a lot of transfers first up as we wouldn't know exactly at what position the batsman is going to bat and which overs the bowler is going to bowl or whether the bowler/all-rounder would get to complete his full quota of overs.

More importantly it is uncertain whether the player would make it into the playing XI as teams make a lot of changes at the initial stage. So for the first few matches go with the players who are 100% sure to make it into the playing XI.

This is very important for the first match where u have to select players from Matches 2 or 3 or even 4.

Okay, I'm stopping it here for now on the use of transfers. So that's a start on how to approach it first up. And I'll be sharing more stuffs as the tournament moves forward. Next up on the use of BOOSTERS - the new feature of season fantasy.

We've got 3 BOOSTERS - Double Up(2x ur total points in a match), Triple Impact(3x points for a player in a match), Super Transfer(unlimited player transfers in a match). Double Up nd Triple Impact is better to use where u have got more players in for a match.

Triple Impact could be used for Qualifier 1 caz it will be the first play-off match where where u have unlimited transfers to make and also two best teams facing off. Double Up for the finals. This two boosters will help u soar through the rankings at the later stage.

Next up is the Super Transfer. I wanted to keep this a secret but then somebody is gonna come up with this, why not me open it up first.
It's MATCH 53, yeah it's the best time to use the Super Transfer Booster. Why?? Let's see...

KKR nd SRH end their leage matches at Match 52, whereas CSK nd DC play 2 matches after match 52. MI, PKBS, RCB, RR play 1 each after Match 52. CSK have a 5 match gap before Match 53 nd DC have a 4 match gap. So anyways we won't be carrying players from these teams.

Whereas KKR end their leage stage playing Matches 49 nd 52, SRH end their league stage playing Matches 48, 50 nd 52 and no other team has a close streak of matches during this period. So after KKR nd SRH streak ends we would no longer need their players.

And also we would atleast be having 7-9 players from these two teams and if we have to remove them we have to spend that many transfers. So better to go with 11 players for Match 52 nd use the Super Transfer Booster for Match 53. Isn't that great‽‽‽
