As someone who started selling sexy pics on Tumblr online at the age of 20, we should start talking about the pressure of survival sex work & why ppl turn to Onlyfans. We should ALSO be working towards UBI, making college tuition free, livable wages, AND decriminalizing sex work.

You cannot make enough to pay off student loans by working your standard retail job. Often times ppl are lgbt, need to escape abusive homes, and need to make enough to survive. This is why young folks turn to SW.

There's so much wrong with the economic infrastructure ESPECIALLY in the US. More safety social nets need to be enforced to help people transition into becoming adults, because a lot of young adults CANNOT survive without help or turning to unpleasant things

SW is criminalized. SWers - young and old - are groomed and exploited by predators. SWers are not protected. Raising the age to 21+ on Onlyfans won't stop predators from being predators, and will not stop ppl from turning to SW in real life and on other sites.

More education on SW, grooming and exploitation in that industry needs to be given so that people don't start an OF while theyre still in high school and do things that they aren't ready for because they are desperate to be financially independent.

Age limits for websites ARE helpful, this topic just requires more nuance than arbitrary guidelines. People make and glamorize Onlyfans because they think it's easy money when it's a lot more involved and complicated than that.

There needs to be more support/ protections for SWers. There needs to be more support/ protections for young people, especially young marginalizd folks. SW is something a lot of young trans people people of color turn to because they cannot find financial stability/jobs...

Overall there needs to be more proper education about SW, AND we should work on advocating for UBI, livable wages, free college tuition, free health care etc. This whole country is fucked and runs on the exploitation of so many people.

I have been stalked & forced to do a lot of things I really didn't want to when I was doing SW on both Tumblr and Onlyfans, and I had to take a break this past year from it because it was so mentally taxing. Like if you aren't ready or properly educated on SW you shouldnt do it.

All that aside, celebs shouldn't have Onlyfans and anyone who subbed to bhad babies Onlyfans is probably a predator (please don't comment on this saying you subbed and you're 20 obviously I'm talking about ppl outside of her age range ...)

ADDITIONALLY!! SEX WORK isnt always last ditch efforts, sex work can also be something you actually want to do! There just needs to be more education about it and likewise it's much better to want to do it than to be forced to do it
