There are criminal vagrants that blend in with the homeless and because Austin City Council has given the homeless de facto immunity and tied the hands of police, the residents suffer.
There are two people who are causing the bulk of the problems in this neighborhood.

Austin City Council member @GregCasar during his testimony against #HB1925 to ban open camping in Texas, said the bill sought to punish local democracy.
He didn't mention he tried to quickly ram through homeless hotel purchases before communities could give input.

He also failed to mention the Texas Supreme Court ruled that he and his city council colleagues inserted biased, misleading language into a ballot proposition to overturn open camping. Language intended to bias voters against supporting the measure.

Greg failed to mention that he lets his advocate friends pack the city council feedback mechanism, thereby having an outsized voice on matters before the council.
