Feels to me like every system of government (or there lack of) relies on people behaving "correctly", and most charges of utopianism are pure projection.
"you assume people will just behave themselves without consequences, they need leaders to hold them accountable"
Yeah
But
Aren't you assuming the leaders will just behave themselves without consequences?
And if the people can create consequences for their leaders, aren't you assuming they won't use that power to do whatever they wanted to do without the leaders anyway?
All things being equal, I'd prefer some anti social jerk behaving contrary to the interest of the greater group to have less power, not more

I feel I should make something clear. The point of my video today was not to convince people not to buy from Amazon. I think it's good to buy less things in general, but amazon is a symptom of the larger problem.
Yes amazon is an evil exploitative company, but do you think there's a way to buy the things they sell on amazon WITHOUT exploitation? Do you think buying them from Wal-Mart, or Best Buy is any more moral?
You cannot buy or boycott your way out of capitalism. You are forced to participate in this exploitation no matter what you do.
This is not to say that people should not try to be conscious with what they buy. Obviously some things are worse than others.
Inspired by @DrawfeeShow, I drew some of my childhood OCs.
In the center is Bob, that crystal on his head is an alien superweapon that allows his clothes to transform into extra body parts.
To the right is Toque, who was small in stature, but was able to grow his head very large. This would let him yell and it'd be super loud. I don't remember why I thought that would be a useful power,
a lifetime of being poor means each time you do up a monthly budget and end up with a surplus, you just end up doing the calculation again and again with more imaginary fees until you end up with a negative
"Hmmm, this says I'll have money left over. I'm being irresponsible if I assume that simply because of math."
My subconscious when I have to make a purchase over $20
I'm watching a response video to one of my videos, and the guy said that "this is one of the most well studied issues in economics" and I shit you not, brought up an article from THE MISES INSTITUTE
Now he's arguing that free homes won't solve homelessness, because the real problem is cuts to social programs (which he supports).
NOW HE IS ARGUING THAT WATER SHOULD BE PRIVATIZED BECAUSE OTHERWISE IT COULD CASE A SLIPPERY SLOPE WHERE IT BECOMES ILLEGAL TO SELL SODA FOR PROFIT
She's viewing the problem as though it was merely toxic masculinity which produces police brutality, rather than the fact that the police as an institution were designed to encourage this type of brutality.
Most men are equally brain poisoned with toxic masculinity, most of them manage not to club anyone or throw tear gas at peaceful demonstrations.
Is Dune horror? The world is presents is so fucking grim that I find it difficult not to think of it that way.
When they just casually mention "Oh, this guy can't be the traitor in our midst because IMPERIAL CONDITIONING IS UNBREAKABLE"
and the world seems to be divided into classes of feudal lords with some degree of (or access to) magic brain powers that grant them this highly intricate system of subterfuge and counter-subterfuge, and miserable barely scraping by peasantry.
