I feel it's such a Nigerian thing seeing people forming cliques instead of providing value to the ecosystem.
Nobody cares if you make 6-8 figures designing, show them how to do it or provide resources that can help.
Ship products that are usable and solve usability problems
Providing value for the clients you work with and the community you find yourself in is the very best thing you can do.
While doing that you can also build a company or an agency. Until you have a system that brings you money while you sleep and you can teach others
how you achieved financial freedom, please get back to work. Life comes in phases for us in tech
1. You're finding your way around the ecosystem 2. You start getting recurring clients that pay you 3. You build a system that brings you the money on autopilot.
So many people get
Stuck in the no 2 and start thinking they've done it all.
We all out here are supposed to be solving problems and providing value to clients and stakeholders we work with.
Let your work speak for you.

Never really posted this publicly but I figured I should do it anyways 🙃. This is me testing out the Alexa skill I built for someone some time ago. Results are sent to the patient's doctors automatically using @SendGrid's API. Can also be sent via text using @twilio's API's.
Contd.
Had to deal with errors by adding multiple confirmations , didn't actually finish this because it was a demo. Would have fixed it to be way better. Here's a screenshot of the results sent.
Many Tailors are unreliable in this part of the world . Your clothes barely get delivered on time. Start a tailoring company here.
Hire / train many tailors to work for your company. Have a team that goes out to take measurements and client requirements.
The details are sent in an app to the tailoring team at the office. People book for their clothes to be made online. They can track the progress of their clothes from the app.
Additionally people can also buy clothes designed by the company on the app too.
This might be a billion dollar idea I dropped for you 😁.
If you ignore I might as well do it after @VentlyHQ is released and generating reasonable revenue.
I actually have more insight on how this should work but I'm just sharing the bare minimum I can.
Creating amazing designs and making money while doing it is what every designer dreams about. You might probably end up getting to work for a Fortune 500 company from your house.
So here's a thread of where you can find both contract and freelance work as a designer
Basic first date questions for me 😌.
I think other people in tech can take a cue from this 😂😂
1. What's your genotype? (If it's not AA, let's just end it there unless it's cruise you want us to catch, not my fault I can't go further with someone with my own genotype 😔)
2. Do you carry weapons when you're angry or have anger issues (before you break my mac and PC because you were having anger issues, you'll replace it)
3. What skills do you have and how do you make money currently (Obviously I don't run a daycare, you need to have some level of independence)
