A heartfelt appeal to Chief of Army Staff, Qamar Javed Bajwa regarding former MNA Major (retd) Syed Tanveer Hussain.
It is requested that Syed Tanveer Hussain Shah resident of Tehsil Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan District is a retired Army Major and former MNA. His two sons are

serving Brigadiers in Pakistan Army.
Respected Sir! Tanveer Shah has set up organizations under the names of Major Youth Organization MYO and PSF consisting of teenage boys of the area. With the help of these teenage boys he conducts other illegal activities besides Poaching!

Tanveer Shah has been hunting innocent birds and animals in Cholistan Protected Area /Cholistan Game Reserve for the last 30 years. Among these rare birds is the Great Indian Bustard which are on the verge of extinction and as per reports less then 100 birds are left in the World

After the establishment of Wildlife Protection Force consisting of Retired Military Employees (OR-JCO) in Cholistan , when these retired Military Employees of the Wildlife Department tried to ensure the protection of wildlife in Cholistan

Tanveer shah’s clashes with them and Abu Dhabi palace staff started escalating.Tanveer Shah first tortured the employees and then made a nude video of them in far flung areas of desert, threatening to leak the video if they took any action against him.

Respected Sir! In the most recent incident, on the night of 02-04-2021, Tanveer Shah along with his son Hussain Tanveer Shah and 15-16 others were stopped from hunting chinkara deer and Great Indian Bustard, thats when they attacked the wildlife officials.They opened fire on them

and fled, threatening the wildlife officials at gunpoint! Earlier on 29-01-2020, Wildlife Inspector Cholistan Protection Force, Allah Nawaz (who is himself a retired Naib Subedar from Pak Army) stopped Tanveer Shah from illegal hunting of Chinkara and partridge and challaned him.

Exactly four days later, with great cunning, Tanveer Shah summoned Allah Nawaz to Cholistan Toba Shadiwala, tortured him along with his sons and companions and made a video of him naked. Meanwhile, Ali Haider son of Tanveer Shah stabbed Allah Nawaz with a dagger which severely

injured him.They also took the uniform of the wildlife inspector with them on their way and kept waving in front of the people in Farid Chowk Khanpur telling people that the wildlife officials have been tortured naked. These incidents include the FIR No.05/2000 registered against

Tanveer Shah in the year 2000 dated 10-01-2000 and another incident when he tortured the then District Wildlife Officer Rahim Yar Khan Muhammad Ayub Sabir in the year 2013. The officer had stopped him and his brothers Tasveer Shah and Tuqeer Shah from poaching and challaned him.

Due to this resentment, the District Wildlife Officer was tortured and abused.

In 2015, Tanveer Shah was arrested on the spot while hunting and was produced before the court. The court imposed a fine of Rs 150,000 on him.

Later, two challans and two FIRs were registered against Tanveer Shah in 2017 when Tanveer Shah brutally tortured wildlife inspector Kaleem Sarfraz and other staff in two different incidents. On 25th October 2019, Tanveer Shah's son Hussain Shah opened fire on rangers when they

tried to stop him from poaching which severely injured two rangers personnels. Even with this FIR launched by the Cholistan Rangers, Tanveer Shah, using the influence of his serving army officer sons, managed to settle the matter easily. After that, Tanveer Shah along with the

boys of his organization resisted a rangers operation when rangers tried to get rid of the illegal occupants on their land in Cholistan Chak No. 222 Liaqatpur. The Rangers personnel managed chased away all these people from the spot. These people led by Tanveer Shah chanted

slogans against Punjab Rangers at Head Farid Cholistan and blocked the road. Rangers also have a video clip of this sloganeering.

Respected Sir! Tanveer Shah often enters Cholistan with other hunting parties for the purpose of illegal hunting (pictures of illegal hunting done

at different times are attached).Tanveer Shah and his sons living in Khanpur have made illegal hunting a source of income. They call illegal hunters from all over the country and collect money from them.

Respected Sir! The reason for all the above incidents is that the wildlife

employees forbid Tanveer Shah from poaching and Tanveer Shah brutally tortures and abuses them and then illegally hunts recklessly, without hesitation!
Respected Sir! Our Pakistan Army is a messenger of peace and justice and is a role model all over the world.

But retired Major Tanveer Shah has brought disrepute to a great and best organized organization. Since his sons are also in the Pakistan Army holding high positions, so they play a leading role in supporting their father, and use their influence. Resultantly they can easily get

their father out of every affair, paving the way for more violence against government employees.

It is a heartfelt appeal to COAS to get rid of Major (retd) Tanveer Shah and his followers who are a sworn enemy of wildlife and wildlife officials and there is no one to stop him.

Dear Sir,In these circumstances,Your intervention will play a key role in the survival of the country's and the nation's asset i.e., the Wildlife along with other resources available in Cholistan. Otherwise, many people like Tanveer Shah will rise in the future

and that will eradicate Wildlife in Cholistan and Pakistan.
