1/5. As a person living with a disability(PWD), i speak from experience when i say that all the DONT's on Covid-19 are my Do's.
We are discouraged from touching surfaces, as a PWD i need those surfaces for support. @MwauraIsaac1@UGMParty@jasudan
2/5. We are advised 2 avoid unnecessary contact, but with contact is how i am able to do my day to day basic movements and activities.
And those two examples are just a few of many.
Access to medical services is still a challenge, access to tools is an even bigger challenge
3/5. Relief programs for PWDs are far fetched because it is distributed in centres that are not easy to access or reach.PWDs rely on support from family members and well wishers which greatly reduced because of the tough economic times everyone is going through @apdkdisability
4/5. I therefore, appeal to our Government, both National & Devolved. I appeeal further to the Ministry of Health Kenya @MOH_Kenya to come up with a PWDs vaccination plan that will be gazzeted, accessible, effective & that will be carried out efficiently.
5/5. The proposed plan will come in handy to support PWDs in the country and will give them much needed support as they continue to unequally make ends meet during this period of Covid-19. @MOH_Kenya@MohaJichoPevu MohaJichoPevu @FemnetProg
