I hate this wording, honestly. Being alone isn’t the same as being lonely and allistic people seem to always fail to understand this. I love being alone! It’s the best way to recharge after an exhausting day. That doesn’t mean I’m lonely. An it sure as hell doesn’t mean I don’t++
want/don’t have any friends. I have plenty of friends, even more acquaintances with the potential of becoming friends. Social isolation isn’t a bad thing either. It’s the context surrounding it. If it’s wanted social isolation(the person is removing themself from others), then++
there’s nothing wrong with that. On the other hand, if the social isolation is forced on the person(other people are refusing to interact with someone who wants the interaction, typically as a form of bullying so-called “outcasts”), then that’s bad and really messed up. People++
should be allowed to self regulate and curate their own social lives however they feel best suits them. Let introverted people be introverted, including the ones one the supposed extreme end of desiring social isolation/wanting to be alone. Everyone has their own wants and++
needs, and being autistic shouldn’t change that or be a factor in outside forces deciding how right or wrong that is. Autistic people should be allowed to be introverted.
