The meeting that was held on Tuesday 6th April, 2021, in the Conference Hall, State Headquarters, Ikeja, had in attendance the Deputy Commissioners of Police, Operations, Administration and State CID, Panti respectively, the fourteen (14) Area Commanders, ...
... Police Mobile Force Commanders, Commanders of Rapid Response Squad and Taskforce, Commanders of the Special Squad and Strike Team and the State Intelligence Bureau of the command.
The Commissioner of Police engaged them in an interactive session to assess and brainstorm on having better security structures in the state and to prevent any attacks on police formations, correctional centre and vulnerable places within Lagos State.
The meeting agreed on many strategies to be adopted including robust intelligence gathering, surveillance, sectorising the state for easy policing, constant patrol and deployment of personnel to strategic places and multi agency collaboration amongst others.
The police boss gave clear directives to the full implementation and enforcement of the strategies emplaced to achieve the goals of effective security of the state generally.
In the same vein, in furtherance of his plans to forestal any form of attacks in the state, the Commissioner of Police has played host to the Controller of Correctional Service Lagos State, Mr Francis Adebisi, in his ikeja office in Wednesday 7th April, 2021.
The Commissioner of Police, while deliberating on securing the major Correctional Centres in Lagos State, promised the Controller to sustain the deployment of police mobile men to the Correctional Centres in the state.
CP Hakeem Odumosu also promised to partner with the Correctional Service and other stakeholders to improve on the Criminal Justice System in Lagos State.
The Controller of Correctional Service, Mr Francis Adebisi, commended the efforts of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, ..
... on providing adequate security for all and sundry and promoting sustainable synergy amongst security agencies in the state. He further eulogized the police boss for his sterling leadership qualities in piloting the affairs of the police command.

The Lagos State Government has again condemned the action of some Naval Ratings noted for escorting commercial vehicles, who attacked LASTMA Personnel for apprehending a VOLKSWAGEN BUS with registration number LSD 73 XT.

According to eyewitnesses, the said bus obstructed the flow of traffic at Onipanu inward Fadeyi on Ikorodu Road and evaded arrest. It took the determined efforts of the LASTMA Team to track down the vehicle at Fadeyi inward Jibowu.
The source also gathered that the driver had the audacity to stop in the middle of the main carriageway to discharge passengers at Fadeyi under the cover of Naval Ratings on escort.

FLASH: The Lagos State Government will be diverting the traffic on Adegbola Street from Sunday 11th April, 2021 for 15 months in readiness for the construction of Ikeja Overpass, Lagos Rail Mass Transit, Red Line Project.

1. Your vehicle plate number is from Lagos State, ur Insurance, Vehicle License BUT ur Road Worthiness is from Ogun State, for clarity purposes ... Everything is recognized across the country but all must be in ONE Location. There is no racket.

2. This helps for security purposes and also a proper database of vehicles in the State .. U don’t need to do another Road Worthiness as far as all your documents tally with the location of ur plate number even if u drive to Abuja, It remains VALID.

3. The camera that captured ur plate number did not make an error and there is no racket ... The Database here clearly shows that the road worthiness is not captured in the State Database as required.

Segun, a senior member of Eye Confraternity, had been on the run for a while since he got the wind that he had been declared wanted by the police for his atrocities in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
But he was sighted in Ikorodu today 4th April, 2021, while the DPO Sagamu Road Division and his men were on Surveillance patrol around Ikorodu.
