1/ game theory 101
US Central Bank has to resolve a dying economy with a hyperinflationary monetary policy (cf cryptohayes.medium.com/pumping-iron-a…)
Or risk international confidence via a sovereign default.
China wants CNY to be the world's choice currency so it doesn't have to yield to US's monetary policy. BRI, and institutionalising CNY denominated debt - recall USD war debt funding that entrenched USD as the world reserve currency.
3/ China's first mover advantage on the CBDC also adds to it's political ploy.

Where then does BTC come into play? Forget the role of governing bodies, but look international trade and project financing. Corporates like tesla, apple, microsoft hold massive import/export shares.
4/ In the incoming decade, the real economical war lies in how American Corporates and China's Corporates dictate their negotiated deals. To be denominated in CNY which fluctuates against all FX rates since global economy is tied through intl trade, or BTC/Gold alternatives?
