1.Huge number of $EGLD held by several wallets
Actually, the top 10 wallets are the Staking contracts, Exchange's wallets (Hot and cold) and also company reserves. Not some mega whales. Check out the graphic below

2. Erd is included in the current circulating supply.
ERC20 ERD token : 166M ERD, equal to 166K EGLD (about 0.95% of the current circulating supply)
- BEP2 ERD token : 127M ERD, equal to 127K EGLD (about 0.7% of the current circulating supply)

Low wallet balances.
Staking /delegating does not show in the wallet balance via explorer or the statistics. Users funds are in there. There are 2 Staking contracts, you can view them here with <\> explorer.elrond.com/accounts

6. Staking in Maiar.
You rightly corrected yourself in the comments. Staking is available and the minimum is 1 $eGLD, not 10. Find out more information here. maiar.com

7.Binance involvement.
Elrond launched on Binaace, they also were an early investor. Until very recently they were running 10 nodes on the network,but they unstaked to allow space for decentralized Staking providers and validators
