I have seen many #CommonwealthSharedScholarship essays and these are some of the mistakes people keep repeating:

1. Not answering ALL the components of the essay questions, especially Dev. Impact 3 where many people forget to identify who the beneficiaries will be
2. Not directly answering the essay questions by including so many irrelevant sentences.

3. Stating leadership/volunteering positions, w/out explaining what you did differently, why you did it, impact, who benefitted, lessons AND concluding how those experiences are relevant
to your proposed study.

4. Failing to have a clear structure for your essay. An essay should have an introduction, a body and a conclusion.

5. Failing to explicitly link your proposed study to a development issue AND the CSC theme.
