You know what is so fascinating about these Romanov family albums that I've been exploring? Anastasia LOVED to colorize their family photos! See this page.

(Big shoutout to those who like to say that colorization = vandalism)

Colorized by me: the Romanov children - Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia and Alexei.

Old palace at Livadia, circa 1907.
I've always been fascinated by the Romanov family albums (rescued by the Tsarina’s friend and intimate confidante, Anna Vyrubova) because they offer such a unique glimpse into their daily lives. As a digital artist/historian, these things are treasures to me.
So I keep digging and getting lost in them from time to time, hence why I’ve been sharing so many Romanov photos lately… ;)
