Beck said this is the second of three planned splashdown recoveries, with the company having "severely disassembled" the first Electron booster it recovered, which overall "was in remarkable shape." cnbc.com/2021/04/08/roc…
After three splashdown recoveries, Rocket Lab will then move to the final step of its reuse plan: Plucking the booster with its parachute from the sky with a helicopter. cnbc.com/2021/04/08/roc… $VACQ
Rocket Lab’s goal in reusing Electron is simple, Beck said: “Launch, catch, repeat.”

As for Neutron's reuse plans, Beck does not expect Rocket Lab's next-generation rocket will have a "need for hop tests" like SpaceX conducted with its Falcon 9 "Grasshopper" prototype.
SpaceX is preparing to launch its 23rd dedicated Starlink v1.0 mission, carrying another 60 satellites.
Liftoff is scheduled for 12:34 pm ET (16:34 UTC), watch live here:
This represents SpaceX's 26th Starlink mission overall, if you include the launch of two "Tintin" prototypes, the (now largely deorbited, per @planet4589) batch of v0.9 satellites, and the 10 polar satellites included on the Transporter-1 mission.

EYOS Expeditions reached out to Connor shortly after his spaceflight plans were announced, asking if he would help cover part of the costs of an upcoming dive in the Triton Submarines' DSV Limiting Factor – and in return, join as a co-pilot. cnbc.com/2021/04/07/rea…
SpaceX director David Goldman spoke with FCC officials late last week, to discuss the company's proposal to modify lower some of the Starlink satellites to lower altitudes and give a presentation with an update on the network's progress:
SpaceX says it plans to increase Starlink's download speeds from ~100 Mbps currently to 10 Gbps in the future:
SpaceX dismissed Amazon's $AMZN protest of the modification as "attempts to stifle competition", saying Amazon makes "misleading claims of interference" and emphasizing that the competing Project Kuiper network represents "still nascent plans"
Morgan Stanley published a lengthy research report on quantum communications — using the properties of light and sub-atomic particles to transmit information — and its possible implications for SpaceX.
Thread:
MS: Quantum communications is a "a sub discipline of Quantum Information Science which uses the properties of light and sub-atomic particles (i.e. photons) to transmit information."
"Quantum communications is different from quantum computing…although the advancements in quantum computing may help enable the
development and security of quantum communication networks"
