A new opportunity is available for outstanding doctoral candidates to develop their careers as researchers within the School of Human and Health Sciences at the TEF Gold rated University of Huddersfield. The School has an ambitious programme of research that is making
a real difference to people's lives.
Two full-time PhD scholarships are available for three years, covering tuition fees at home rates and a stipend of £6000 per annum. A further four scholarships may be offered with a fee reduction of at least 30% of home
tuition rates. Proposals are welcomed for research in any one of the following areas and the scholarships will be awarded competitively on merit: 1. Policing and ‘paedophile hunting’ in the UK
2. Using big data to understand the causes and consequences of different developmental trajectories in brain development, cognition, and psychopathology
3. Factors influencing the recruitment, integration and retention of overseas nurses in the UK
4. Developing a family-centred approach to lifestyle change in pregnancy in the context of maternal obesity
5. Translating High-intensity Interval Training into a 'Real World' Exercise Strategy
6. The impact of walking football on health-related outcomes in older adults

The scholarship is inclusive of the £2000 international scholarship, and cannot be awarded in conjunction with any other scholarships.
