For any human working or watching the #DerekChauvinTrial it’s emotionally draining especially if you’ve been following the #GeorgeFloyd story from the start. Thanks to @dbauder who told my secret weapon (anyone can use) for dealing w stress. 🐕 🐶
Since y’all are asking my secret weapon to dissipate stress is petting dogs. Any dog. All dogs. Other people’s dogs. Every time I get a chance. Like This dog. He’s is someone else’s dog. I seek them out and their owners always oblige!
Full disclosure. Sometime I go to dog parks even though I don’t have a dog. I just act like I belong. Just to be around dogs for a few moments. I travel too much to have a dog so that’s my secret.
This is who I met in my latest visit to a #dog park in Minneapolis.

I arrive to this. Another mother mourns a child. #DaunteWright was killed by police during a traffic stop. Again police must explain their use of deadly force, again the community doesn't trust them, riots ensue. Rage uncorked during #DerekChauvinTrial cnn.it/3toAOFK
As usual we as reporters have to wait to see the details. Did the officer fear for her life? Was there a good reason for the fear? Or was it a rash decision? But in the interim we can never lose site of the fact that a young man is dead and a family is in mourning.
You don’t often see body cam video this early. The police chief said it was the right thing to do for transparency. Police pulled #DaunteWright over for expired tags. Police try to cuff him, he pulls away jumps in the car. The door is open. Female officer yells taser but uses gun
